The film absorbs energy from natural and artificial light, then releases a visible glow as surrounding light levels fall. Suitable charging light is essential to its performance.
The classification relates to the supplier's film. It is not a fire classification or certification of the complete printed sign assembly.

Can you customise the floor numbers, flat ranges and arrows?
Yes. We produce your signage in-house to the agreed wording and layout. Send your floor-by-floor schedule so we can quote and prepare artwork for approval.
Do the signs need an electrical connection?
The photoluminescent film itself requires no wiring or batteries. It needs suitable natural or artificial light to charge. These signs do not replace any emergency lighting required for your building.
Can these signs be installed outdoors?
This specification uses Metamark MD-PL film, which is intended for indoor use only. Please contact us to discuss a different specification for an outdoor location.
Can I choose adhesive tape or screw fixing?
Yes. We offer double-sided adhesive tape or pre-drilled screw holes. Let us know your preference when requesting a quotation. The installation surface and project requirements should guide the choice.
How long do the signs glow?
Brightness reduces after the charging light is removed. The visible glow depends on the intensity and duration of charging light, printed coverage and surrounding conditions. Contact us to discuss any specified performance requirements.
How do I order?
These signs are supplied by quotation. Send your quantities, dimensions, floor and flat numbers, arrows, fixing preference and delivery postcode. We will confirm pricing and the expected lead time.
